The Colorado Rapids will have a new primary jersey for the 2026 season. The Major League Soccer club unveiled their new 'Colorful Colorado Kit' on Wednesday morning. The jersey features a black base, accented with burgundy stripes on the shoulders and shorts while the numbers and sponsor marks are in a classic sky blue. Rapids Executive Creative Director Jordan Rothrock said the new look 'embodies all the colors of the Rapids, from 1996 to 2026, weaving every era into a bold design that represents 30 years of rich history as an MLS Original.' The Rapids begin their 2026 season on the road at the Seattle Sounders on Sunday, Feb. 22. The club's first home game is Saturday, Feb. 28, at Dick's Sporting Goods Park vs. Portland. The Rapids also announced a community initiative, in partnership with UCHealth, to donate 10,000 soccer balls to youth across Colorado over the next two years. Vice President of Community Impact and Fan Development Caitlin Kinser said the club has 'ambitious goals of expanding our reach outside our local community and having a larger impact across the state of Colorado.' The Colorful Colorado Kit is available for purchase at the team store at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, or online at AltitudeAuthentics.com and MLSstore.com. UCHealth Chief Marketing and Experience Officer Manny Rodriguez noted that 'by putting 10,000 soccer balls into the hands of Colorado’s youth, we aren't just providing equipment, we’re providing an invitation to be active and a tool for building healthy habits that last a lifetime.' The donation is part of the Rapids' efforts to give back to the community. The club is committed to making a positive impact on the state of Colorado. The new kit is a symbol of the Rapids' dedication to their fans and the community. Fans can show their support by purchasing the new jersey and attending the team's games.
